About the Competition

Competition Selection Process

Preliminary video submission deadline is February 14, 2025
Ten(10) finalists will be notified by February 15, 2025 and invited to participate in the live competition events at FSU on March 29-30, 2025
Finalists will participate in an informal masterclass on March 29, 2025

application requirements

Must be available for in-person competition
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university, pursuing an undergraduate degree, majoring in music
Provide proof of enrollment
Provide Video Submission: Two(2) video clips, no older than eighteen months
Submit a resume and biography
Submit a current high resolution photo (300X500 pixels or greater)
Provide a list of required repertoire

Competition Repertoire requirements

Two(2) arias from the standard "classical" vocal repertoire)
One(1) Art Song or Spiritual
At least one selection must be in a language other than English
Finalists must email music with legible markings for accompanist by February28, 2025

Prizes

First place: $2500
Second place: $1500
Third place: $750
